Tritec Marine to host LNG/LPG conference

30 October 2017

Tritec Marine will host an international naval architecture conference at its head office in Glasgow in November.

The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) shall hold their “Design, Construction and Operation of LNG/LPG Ships conference” on 29-30 November in Alba House’s auditorium.

The event will welcome naval architects, builders, class societies, operators and researchers to discuss the movement of liquefied gas by sea and associated floating production, storage and offloading systems.

David Scott, Tritec Marine General Manager Director said: “We are delighted to host RINA and their industry conference at Alba House next month.

“The event will allow Tritec Marine the opportunity to engage with a wide spectrum of industry associates and promote our own service offering and related LNG research.”

Delegates have been invited by RINA to submit papers on topics including design of gas carriers, trading routes, floating storage, ship to ship transfers and conversions, amongst others.

Tritec Marine’s engineers and naval architects will forward the company’s own paper: ‘Ship Design Revisited – A Modern Approach for a Modern Era’.

The paper explores modern design requirements and tangible engineering solutions that will permeate and define all phases of the life-cycle of a commercial cargo ship.

The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), is an internationally renowned professional institution whose members are involved at all levels in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of marine vessels and structures.

Members of RINA are widely represented in industry, universities and colleges, and maritime organisations in over ninety countries.
